Tour Plan
Depart from Agadir then we make our way to visit the saffron fields-the traditional production of this very valued spice-and then continue to Taznakht, the capital of carpets, where you will watch artisans weave Berber rugs. From there, you will drive through Foum Zguid, which is the gateway to the Sahara, and take an off-road adventure via the scenic trails until you reach Erg Chigaga. Then, proceed to your desert camp with golden sand dunes. Taste a traditional dinner by the fire in the middle of a starry night-a magic moment spent in the desert.
Have breakfast at the camp and go for a camel ride across the rolling dunes. Enjoy the serenity of the desert surroundings and have a picnic on the sand. Later in the evening, take in a spectacular sunset as the dunes change into a kaleidoscope of rich colors. Return to camp for your second night, enjoying comfort in traditional Berber tents and local music around the fire.
After breakfast, have a fantastic 2-hour drive along a side road to the last settlement before the open desert-the village of M'Hamid El Ghizlane. Sightsee in the village and then head to Tamgroute to see the ancient Zaouia; the place in Tamgroute is famous for its green pottery. Visit its renowned library with centuries-old manuscripts. Travel through the Draa Valley, lined with oases and Kasbahs while en-route to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in a kasbah tonight.
Make a detour by the famous Ait Ben Haddou and take a rest in its old alleys and a fortress. Departure to Marrakech, through Telouet, with its dazzling landscape of the Atlas Mountains. Panoramic views with Berber villages and rugged landscapes in this direction. Explore in Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque, dynamic souks, and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
