8 Days Morocco Private Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech

On the second day, we’ll depart Marrakech in the morning, heading through the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass. After a scenic drive, we’ll make a stop in Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert" and home to many famous film sets. From here, we continue to Zagora, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional riad, enjoying local hospitality.

After breakfast, we will visit the village of Tamegroute, famous for its ancient pottery workshops and historical library. You’ll also explore the traditional Kasbahs in the area before heading to Mhamid, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. From Mhamid, we journey deeper into the desert to Erg Chegaga, where you’ll spend two nights in a luxury desert camp. Enjoy camel trekking, sunset over the dunes, and an evening under the stars.

Your day will be spent in the heart of the Sahara Desert. Choose between camel trekking, a 4x4 desert exploration, or simply relaxing and soaking in the beauty of the dunes. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner by the campfire under a sky filled with stars.

After breakfast, we leave the desert behind and drive across the dry Iriqui Lake towards Foum Zguid. Along the way, we’ll stop in Taznakht, known as the "Carpet Capital of Morocco," where you can explore the local craftsmanship. From here, we continue to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse near the Kasbah.

In the morning, you’ll explore the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, renowned for its stunning architecture and as a backdrop for numerous films. We will then travel through Telouet, once home to the powerful Glaoui family, and make our way to Casablanca, where you’ll spend the night.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the city’s historical monuments, including the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Then we will make our way back to Marrakech. We will drop you off at your Riad, where you will spend your last night of this adventure. You will also have some time to relax or do last-minute shopping.
